Oscour® Network Emergency Department Visit Indicators:

• Among adults, the proportion of emergency department visits for mental health issues within overall emergency department activity increased from March to May 2022 compared to the previous study period (January–February 2022).

  • However, the proportion of these visits remains lower than the values observed between 2018 and 2020 during the same period, and stable compared to 2021.

• Among children, the proportion of emergency department visits for mental health issues in overall emergency department activity increased from March to May 2022 compared to the previous two months.

  • The proportion of these visits in overall activity remains lower than in previous years, including 2021.

• The proportion of visits related to suicidal ideation among children aged 11 to 17 decreased compared to January–February 2022, but the figures remain higher than those from 2021.
