Key Points

Asthma

  • Following a sharp increase in the number of emergency room visits and the number of visits followed by hospitalization for asthma in S11, the number of emergency room visits for asthma in S13 continued to decline among those aged 15 and older but rose slightly among children aged 2–14.

  • At SOS Médecins, asthma-related activity increased among those aged 15 and older and decreased among children aged 2 to 14.

COVID-19

  • SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater: Six of the seven wastewater treatment plants have interpretable results. In Week 13, an overall upward trend in the level of SARS-CoV-2 circulation in wastewater was observed. However, the intensity of viral circulation remained low.

  • At SOS Médecins and in emergency departments, activity related to suspected COVID-19 cases remained low and stable compared to the previous week.
