Key points

Heat Wave

  • From August 12, 2024, to August 13, 2024, Météo-France issued an orange alert for all 8 departments in the Île-de-France region. A special bulletin on the heat wave and high temperatures is being issued alongside this epidemiological update

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

  • 234 imported cases were identified and investigated: 225 dengue, 6 chikungunya, 2 Zika, and 1 co-infection (dengue + chik)

  • A first atypical case of chikungunya that occurred in mid-July has been classified as locally transmitted in Île-de-France, as it meets the definition criteria. There is no link to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

Whooping cough

  • A decrease in SOS Médecins consultations and stabilization of emergency room visits for pertussis in week 33 compared to the previous week.

Measles

  • The number of cases reported through mandatory reporting for the past three weeks was decreasing, as was the number of emergency room visits for measles in week 33
