Epidemic level: activity levels stabilized in week 45. Île-de-France remains on epidemic alert for the third week.
Influenza and influenza-like illness
In hospitals: The number of emergency room visits for flu-like illness was stable across all age groups but increased among those under 15. The number of hospitalizations for flu-like illness remained low. Flu activity remained stable at a baseline level.
In private practice: The number of visits for flu-like illness was on the rise for the SOS Médecin network, linked to an increase in flu-related visits among those under 15.
COVID-19
SOS Médecins: The decline in the number of cases for suspected COVID-19 continued in Week 45. This decrease was observed among those aged 15 and older. Among children under 15, the indicator was stable and case numbers remained low.
Emergency room visits: The number of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 stabilized in week 45, with low case numbers.
SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater: The downward trend in SARS-CoV-2 circulation levels in wastewater in Île-de-France continued in Week 45. All monitored stations had interpretable results.
