Key Points

Flu-like Illnesses and Acute Respiratory Infections

  • Both in hospitals and in community settings, indicators of healthcare utilization for influenza-like illness were declining in the Île-de-France region across all age groups for the fourth consecutive week.

  • The distribution of influenza virus types and subtypes has not undergone any major changes in recent weeks.

Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE)

  • There has been a steady increase in emergency department visits for AGE across all age groups since Week 03 of 2025, with children under 15 being the most affected. The proportion of AGE-related visits among all coded visits was also rising, particularly among those under 15.

  • Similarly, an increase in hospitalizations across all age groups following emergency department visits was observed. It should be noted that 85.8% of hospitalizations involved children under 15.

  • The number of SOS Médecins visits for GEA decreased across all age groups.

COVID-19

  • SOS Médecins: In S08, the number of cases involving suspected COVID-19 remained stable across all age groups. Case numbers remained low.

  • Emergency room visits: In S08, the number of visits for suspected COVID-19 remained stable across all age groups. Case numbers remained low.
