Measles

  • Since January 1, 2025, the following have been reported in Île-de-France: 64 biologically confirmed cases of measles and 9 suspected cases awaiting confirmation.

Flu-like Illnesses and Acute Respiratory Infections

  • In hospitals, the number of emergency room visits for flu-like illness decreased across all age groups for the ninth consecutive week.

  • In the community, the number of SOS Médecins calls for flu-like symptoms was again on the decline across all age groups. Indicators returned to their baseline levels.

Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE)

  • Decrease in emergency department visits and hospitalizations for AGE across all age groups; 80% of AGE-related emergency department visits involved children under 15, and 61% involved children under 5.

  • The number of AGE-related visits to SOS Médecins stabilized among those over 15 years of age but continued to rise among children under 15 years of age.

COVID-19

  • SOS Médecins: In Week 13, the number of cases for suspected COVID-19 decreased across all age groups following the increase observed the previous week. Case numbers remained low.

  • Emergency department visits: In Week 13, the number of visits for suspected COVID-19 decreased across all age groups following the increase observed the previous week.

  • SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater: Detection levels in wastewater continued to rise in Week 13 despite a decrease in healthcare utilization, reflecting a high level of herd immunity, though with significant variability in virological indicators in wastewater depending on the treatment plant.
