COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Île-de-France Region as of February 11, 2021
Key Points
In Week 05 (February 1–7, 2021), epidemiological monitoring indicators showed a continued increase in SARS-CoV-2 circulation in the Île-de-France region.
Across the departments of Île-de-France, disparities in epidemiological indicators were observed amid a rise in the prevalence of variants known to be more transmissible.
Pressure on the hospital system was mounting in the region due to the persistently high level of community transmission, and the situation could worsen in the coming weeks.
At this stage, single-dose vaccination coverage in Île-de-France was rising, reaching 65.1% among the target population and 2.2% in the general population.
Among healthcare workers in nursing homes (Ehpad) and long-term care facilities (USLD), single-dose vaccination coverage stood at 26.4% (data as of February 9, 2021).
