COVID-19 and Monkeypox: Epidemiological Update for the Île-de-France Region as of October 20, 2022

  • Use of primary care and emergency services for “suspected COVID-19” increased slightly.

  • The number of new hospitalizations and the number of COVID-19-related deaths in hospitals were increasing. The number of new admissions to critical care remained stable.

  • The total number of new COVID-19 cases reported by ESMS was increasing.

Monkeypox

  • From mid-May through October 18, 2022, 2,492 confirmed cases of monkeypox were recorded in Île-de-France (Region of residence).
