Real contact with nature, which is essential for the emotional and social development of young children, is one of the ten principles of the National Charter for Early Childhood Care, established by the ministerial decree of September 23, 2021. Several facilities have already embraced this approach, supported by the Label Vie association, including the Mil’mouch community daycare center in Seine-et-Marne. Gardening, plants, and small animals in green spaces provide a solid foundation for fundamental learning. Best practices, particularly sustainable eating, are also spreading to families involved in the project through workshops.
