Three patients with chronic conditions who have resumed adapted physical activity share their stories

When people have been inactive for a long time and have compromised health, getting back into exercise—no matter how adapted it may be—is no easy task. How do participants experience this return to physical activity? Testimonials on the conditions under which three patients resumed adapted physical activity (APA), and the factors that encouraged their participation and helped them stick with APA. Among other things, it becomes clear that the variety of profiles involved in adapted physical activity requires guidance that closely addresses individual challenges, without neglecting the social aspect, which is a driving force behind the practice.
