Surveillance of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Epidemiological Update, October 24, 2012

Summary of CO Poisoning Reports

During this spell of mild weather, 17 cases of poisoning were reported to the surveillance system. The majority of cases (10 out of 17) occurred during the night of October 22–23, between 9:00 PM and 8:30 AM. The regional epidemic threshold, defined as the occurrence of at least 6 cases in a 24-hour period, was significantly exceeded during this episode, with 14 cases reported in a 24-hour period.
