Public Health Surveillance in Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy. Epidemiological Update, October 15, 2015.

Bronchiolitis SurveillanceIn the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, as in Picardy, the proportion of consultations for bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age has remained stable following the increase observed since week 37 of 2015, both for SOS Médecins clinics and for emergency departments. During week 41, the virology laboratory at the Lille University Hospital isolated its first RSV cases (n=3) of the season.

Surveillance of influenza-like illnessIn mainland France, the incidence of influenza-like illness seen in general practice consultations is below the epidemic threshold.In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy regions, indicators from both SOS Médecins and emergency departments remain stable at low levels and in line with expected values, following the slight increase observed in week 37.

Surveillance of severe influenza casesSurveillance of severe influenza cases will resume in early November (week 45 of 2015).

Surveillance of acute gastroenteritisIn mainland France, the incidence of acute gastroenteritis seen in general practice is below the epidemic threshold.In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy regions, indicators from SOS Médecins and emergency departments remain stable at low levels and in line with expected values.
