Enhanced monitoring under the Heat Wave and Health Alert System (SACS): - As of August 11, no department in mainland France is currently under an "orange alert" for heat waves. This alert was issued last week in the Rhône-Alpes region. - In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy regions, there has been no heatwave since the one in late June–early July, although last week saw temperatures above seasonal norms, occasionally exceeding 30°C. A very slight increase in calls to SOS Médecins and emergency departments for heat-related conditions was observed during week 2015-32.

Emergency room visits by people aged 75 and older: In the five departments of the interregional area, emergency room visits by people aged 75 and older are stable and within the usual range.

Deaths among all age groups and those aged 75 and older: In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy regions, deaths among all age groups and those aged 75 and older reported by computerized civil registries are generally stable and similar to the figures observed during the same period in the two previous years.
