Health Surveillance in Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie. Epidemiological Update, April 21, 2016.

Bronchiolitis Surveillance: In mainland France as well as in Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie, the epidemic has been over for several weeks.
Flu-like illness surveillance: Flu activity is decreasing in all regions, except in Corsica, where it remains stable. Most regions have emerged from the epidemic phase. In Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie, the significant decline in all indicators continues. Aisne, Oise, and Somme have emerged from the epidemic phase; the epidemic is coming to an end in Nord and Pas-de-Calais.
Surveillance of severe influenza cases hospitalized in intensive care units In mainland France, 1,016 severe influenza cases were reported by intensive care units. In Nord and Pas-de-Calais, 2 new severe influenza cases admitted during week 2016-15 were reported, bringing the total to 77. Just over one-third are infected with a type B virus and nearly half with a type A(H1N1)pdm09 virus. In the Aisne, Oise, and Somme departments, no cases were admitted during week 2016-15; in total, 15 severe cases have been reported since the start of surveillance. The vast majority are infected with the A(H1N1)pdm09 virus.
Surveillance of acute gastroenteritis: In metropolitan France, data from the Sentinelles network indicate that the incidence rate of acute diarrhea is below the epidemic threshold, at a moderate level. In Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie, activity related to acute gastroenteritis remains in line with expected values.
Monitoring of carbon monoxide poisoning: The heating season is coming to an end. In Nord and Pas-de-Calais, the number of CO poisoning incidents is lower than in previous heating seasons; it remains stable in Aisne, Oise, and Somme.
