Health Monitoring in the Hauts-de-France Region. Update as of November 26, 2020.

Key Points

COVID-19

The epidemic has been on the decline for the past three weeks at the regional and local levels. The consistent trend in virological indicators confirms the continued decrease in new infections.

Bronchiolitis (in children under 2 years of age)

Activity remained stable at SOS Médecins clinics and increased slightly in emergency departments, with moderate levels reported by both sources.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

Since the resumption of influenza surveillance in week 40, visits for influenza-like illness to SOS Médecins and emergency departments have been stable, at a low level and below that observed during the same period in previous seasons for visits to SOS Médecins.

Acute gastroenteritis

Activity was low, with a stable trend in emergency departments and a slight increase at SOS Médecins.

All-cause mortality

A significant excess of all-cause mortality has been observed since week S43 among those aged 65 and older and across all age groups.
