Health Monitoring in the Hauts-de-France Region. Update as of December 3, 2020.
Key Points
COVID-19
The epidemic continues to subside at the regional and local levels. The consistent trend in virological indicators reflects a continuous and significant decline in new infections. Regional and departmental incidence rates, across all age groups, have fallen below the heightened alert threshold (150 cases per 100,000 inhabitants).
Bronchiolitis (in children under 2 years of age)
Bronchiolitis activity in week 48 was on the rise at SOS Médecins and slightly decreasing in emergency departments, remaining at a moderate level for both sources.
Influenza and influenza-like illnesses
Since the resumption of influenza surveillance, visits for influenza-like illness to SOS Médecins and emergency departments have remained stable at a low level, with SOS Médecins visits below those observed during the same period in previous seasons.
Acute gastroenteritis
In week 48, activity for acute gastroenteritis remains low, with a slight downward trend in emergency departments and a slight increase among SOS Médecins.
All-cause mortality
A significant excess of all-cause mortality has been observed since week S43, across all age groups and among people aged 65 and older.
