COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Hauts-de-France Region as of November 18, 2022

Key Points

  • In urban areas, during week 45, the number of people seeking care for suspected Covid-19 is declining (SOS Médecins), while consultations for acute respiratory infections and flu-like syndromes of all etiologies (Covid-19, flu-like syndromes, and other ARIs) are on the rise again after a decline in week 44 (Réseau Sentinelles).

  • In hospitals, the decline in the number of new emergency room visits and hospitalizations for suspected COVID-19 continues, while the number of new admissions to general and critical care units remains stable.

  • Vaccination coverage for the second booster dose increased slightly this week but remains insufficient (36.5% among those over 60 and 40.2% among those over 80).
