The region experienced a heat wave during the summer of 2025. The heat’s impact on health resulted in 368 heat-related deaths over the course of the summer. In addition, there were 1,934 emergency room visits (1,153 of which led to hospitalization) and 477 SOS Médecins calls for iCanicule.
