The Hauts-de-France region did not experience a heat wave during the summer of 2024. However, the heat did have an impact on public health, with 334 heat-related deaths recorded over the course of the summer. In addition, there were 1,538 emergency room visits (973 of which resulted in hospitalization) and 304 SOS Médecins calls related to the heatwave.
