Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Since the end of the last seasonal epidemic in June, influenza activity has remained low throughout July and August. September, however, has seen the onset of a new wave of the epidemic, which is currently affecting the municipality of St-Laurent as well as the Maroni region. Hospital admissions related to influenza remain low for the time being. The A/H3N2 influenza virus is currently circulating in the region.
