Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The flu epidemic, which began in late December, continued during the first two weeks of January with an upward trend. The peak of the epidemic has likely not yet been reached.During this period, activity related to visits for flu-like symptoms was high in the emergency departments of CHK and GMC. Since the start of the outbreak, influenza A and B viruses, as well as RSV A and RSV B, have been identified. A single severe case has been admitted to the intensive care unit at CHAR since the start of the outbreak.
