Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The flu epidemic continues, and although the peak of the outbreak has passed, the number of visits for flu-like symptoms in private practice and at community health centers remains high at the start of this month. During the first two weeks of February, activity related to visits for flu-like symptoms was moderate in the emergency departments of the CHK and the GMC. It remains low in the CHAR emergency department. Since the start of the epidemic, influenza A and B viruses, as well as RSV A and RSV B, have been identified. Two severe cases of influenza have been admitted to the CHAR intensive care unit since the start of the epidemic, one of whom has died.
