Over the past two weeks (W49 and W50), the number of emergency room visits for flu-like symptoms has been increasing. At the same time, the influenza virus, predominantly type A, was detected on multiple occasions by the Cayenne University Hospital laboratory in W50. The flu epidemic is beginning in French Guiana.

• Number of emergency room visits (vs. 18 in W49)

• Number of consultations at CDPS (vs. 44 in Week 49)
