Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

A decrease in the number of consultations for flu-like symptoms has been observed in private practice and at community health centers over the past three weeks, with a more pronounced decline during the first week of July. Furthermore, activity related to flu-like symptoms has remained relatively stable in emergency departments and at the on-call medical service in Cayenne. Five severe cases, including one death, have been recorded since the start of the epidemic. The A/H1N1pdm09 and B influenza viruses continue to co-circulate.
