Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Chikungunya virus activity remains at low levels across all non-epidemic sectors. Only a few outbreaks persist on the island of Cayenne.

In the Kourou sector, the chikungunya virus continues to circulate at moderate levels, though higher than those observed at the start of the epidemic. This geographic area therefore remains in an epidemic phase. At the Kourou Medical-Surgical Center, activity has been low for several weeks.
