Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The epidemic continues across all sectors of French Guiana, with the number of clinically suggestive cases remaining stable on the island of Cayenne and fluctuating at high levels in the sectors of Western French Guiana, Kourou, and Maroni.On February 10, 2015, the management committee determined that the municipalities from Maripasoula to Cayenne were in Phase 3 of the Psage, corresponding to an epidemic situation. The other municipalities remained in Phase 2b, corresponding to moderate local transmission of the virus with epidemic outbreaks and local chains of transmission.
