Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The outbreak continues in western French Guiana and appears to be leveling off in the Cayenne area. The virus is circulating epidemically in the Kourou area and along the Maroni River. The municipalities stretching from western French Guiana to Roura are in Phase 3 of the Psage, corresponding to an epidemic situation. The other municipalities remain in Phase 2b, corresponding to moderate local transmission of the virus with epidemic clusters and local chains of transmission.
