Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Viral circulation is trending downward in the western Guyana and Kourou sectors. On the island of Cayenne, the weekly number of clinically suggestive cases has stabilized at a low level. Meanwhile, the number of clinically suggestive cases in the Maroni sector remains moderate.On February 10, 2015, the management committee determined that the municipalities from Maripasoula to Cayenne were in Phase 3 of the Psage, corresponding to an epidemic situation. The other municipalities remained in Phase 2b, corresponding to moderate local transmission of the virus with epidemic outbreaks and local chains of transmission.
