COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for French Guiana as of June 10, 2021

Key Points

A limited decrease in the number of new cases was observed once again. However, the weekly incidence rate remains high at 297 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

The testing rate continued to decline in week 22. A slight decrease in the positivity rate was observed, reaching 12% in week 22, but it remains very high.

As of June 8, the effective reproduction number (R) for cases was 0.9, the same as the previous week.
