Epidemiological indicators of acute respiratory infections (ARIs) were declining in primary care and hospital emergency departments, reflecting moderate circulation of ARIs in French Guiana.
Over the past two weeks (W07 and W08), the number of visits to primary care clinics for flu-like illness was decreasing, while the number of emergency department visits remained moderate: the flu epidemic has been ongoing for twelve weeks. Regarding bronchiolitis and COVID-19, epidemiological surveillance indicators were at a low level; bronchiolitis is in an inter-epidemic phase and COVID-19 is circulating at a low level.
