Key Points

COVID-19

  • In week 19 of 2023, the incidence rate continued to decline (35 cases per 100,000 inhabitants compared to 48 in week 18 of 2023);

  • The incidence rate is decreasing across all age groups except among those aged 0–9, where it remains stable. The lowest incidence rate is still observed among those aged 0–9 (10 cases per 100,000 inhabitants). The highest incidence rate is still observed among those aged 80 and older (76 cases per 100,000 inhabitants);

  • Departmental incidence rates continue to decline across all departments compared to the previous week. The highest incidence rate is observed in Meurthe-et-Moselle (52 cases per 100,000 inhabitants) and the lowest is observed in Haute-Marne (19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants);

  • The positivity rate (12%) has decreased slightly compared to the previous week;

  • The testing rate was 279 tests per 100,000 inhabitants in week 19 of 2023; it is declining across all age groups.

Acute Gastroenteritis

  • Oscour®: The number of emergency department visits for acute gastroenteritis (AGE), all ages, is slightly higher than the previous week, with 291 visits in Week 19 of 2023 (compared to 256), representing 1.1% of total activity;

  • SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for acute gastroenteritis (AGI) across all age groups has increased compared to the previous week, with 461 consultations (compared to 432 in week 18 of 2023), representing a 7.0% share of activity.
