The Raymond Carel Medical-Educational Institute in Lorraine cares for children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, autism, or behavioral disorders. The educational team, through the facility’s nurse, reached out to Dr. Droz—a dentist and professor at the Nancy School of Dentistry—as well as some students, to launch a collaborative project on toothbrushing. This is a team effort with strong involvement from various stakeholders. The results are remarkable: after a long learning process, the children have learned to become independent in this daily routine and now enjoy doing it.
