The six departments of the Centre-Val de Loire region have been under a green alert since 6:00 a.m. on June 23, 2017.

• Since the start of the heat wave: There has been an upward trend in calls for heat-related medical conditions within the SOS Médecins and OSCOUR® networks.

• For yesterday:

  • - 26 emergency room visits for heat-related illnesses across all age groups; these visits primarily involved people aged 75 and older (65%); approximately 35% of these cases resulted in hospitalization (53% of those over 75);

  • - 11 SOS Médecins consultations for heat-related illnesses; these cases primarily involved those under 15 (n=4) and those aged 15–44 (n=4).
