Key Points - COVID-19

  • SOS Médecins: Low activity, up compared to Week 41.

  • Hospital emergency departments (Oscour®): Low activity, up compared to week 41.

  • Laboratory Data (SIDEP®): Number of tests performed on the rise, positivity rate on the rise (8.8%).

  • COVID outbreaks in long-term care facilities: 23 outbreaks reported in 23 nursing homes.

As of October 21, 2020,

  • Hospital data: 311 hospitalizations, an increase compared to previous weeks.

  • Clusters - Alert-based cluster reporting: since May 11, 269 clusters (excluding nursing homes and close family settings) have been recorded in the region. 106 clusters are currently under investigation. Among these, 22 clusters are in nursing homes. Due to increased viral circulation across the region, the number of identified clusters is likely underestimated.

  • Since August 22, all departments in the Centre-Val de Loire region have been classified as “high” vulnerability, with the exception of Indre, which is classified as “moderate.”
