In Week 28, the rise in virological surveillance indicators continued at a more pronounced rate: an increase in the incidence rate (+106%**) and the positivity rate (+100%). This trend was consistent across all departments in the region.
Among the tests screened in the region for variants of interest, 1.2% had the E484K mutation and 73.3% had the L452R mutation. The L452R mutation was predominant in all departments except the Loiret, where it accounted for just under 50% of screenings.
Increase in emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19, decrease in hospitalizations, and stabilization of critical care admissions.
