In Week 51, the spread of SARS-CoV-2 slowed in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Virological indicators were declining, as were new hospitalizations and admissions to intensive care; emergency room visits remained stable. However, the number of deaths was rising.

  • Positivity rate (PR) and incidence rate (IR) are declining. Hospital deaths are rising.

  • The BA.5 sublineage has been stable and predominant since Week 24; among sequenced tests, the proportion of the BQ1.1 sublineage has been predominant since Week 44 (72.1% in Week 49).

  • Activity stable at SOS Médecins and rising in hospital emergency departments

Bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age

  • 11th week of the epidemic

  • Declining activity at SOS Médecins and in hospital emergency departments
