Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 30, the rise in virological surveillance indicators continued at a more pronounced rate: an increase in the incidence rate (+37%) and the positivity rate (+14%). This trend was consistent across all departments in the region, with the exception of Indre.

  • Among the tests screened in the region for variants of interest, 0.3% had the E484K mutation and 89.6% had the L452R mutation. The L452R mutation was predominant in all departments.

  • Increase in emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 and admissions to critical care, stabilization of hospitalizations.

  • Increase in SOS Médecins calls for suspected COVID-19.

In Week 30:

  • Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea: Activity stable at SOS Médecins and in hospital emergency departments.

  • Allergies: Activity down at SOS Médecins and stable in hospital emergency departments.

  • Asthma (ages 2–14): Activity down at SOS Médecins and hospital emergency departments.

  • Heat-related conditions: Activity down at SOS Médecins and hospital emergency departments.

Week 29:

  • All-cause mortality observed at the regional level was significantly higher than expected values, across all age groups and among those aged 65 and older. The same observation was made at the departmental level in Indre-et-Loire, Loir-et-Cher, and Loiret.
