Key regional figures (Week 16 vs. Week 15):
Decrease in the incidence rate (–11.0% compared to week S15) and in the testing rate for the second consecutive week.
Emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants: 3,007 cases (78.4%) suspected of being the 501Y.V1 variant (United Kingdom) and 114 cases (3.0%) suspected of being the 501Y.V2 (South Africa) or 501Y.V3 (Brazil) variants were identified.
Stabilization of emergency room visits and an increase in the proportion of SOS Médecin calls for suspected COVID-19
Decrease in the number of ESMS episodes

In week 16, activity related to gastroenteritis was down (to a very low level) at SOS Médecins and down in hospital emergency departments.
Mortality
In week 15, all-cause mortality observed at the regional and departmental levels was below the significance threshold for all ages combined and among those aged 65 and older.
