In Week 39, a decrease in SARS-CoV-2 circulation and surveillance indicators

  • Decrease in the incidence rate (IR) across all departments. The IR is below 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants for all age groups and has risen only slightly among those aged 65 and older, though it remains at a low level.

  • Slight decrease in the positivity rate and stabilization of the testing rate.

  • The L452R variant is predominant in the region (95.0% of screened tests).

  • Decrease in the proportion of procedures performed by SOS Médecins and in emergency room visits for suspected COVID.

  • Decrease in hospitalizations and admissions to critical care.

  • Regional vaccination coverage as of October 5: 75.6% for one dose and 73.6% for the full course.
