    • 75% participation in LaboVIH, down in 2024 compared to 2023, and 99% coverage of the DO in 2024.

  • HIV testing: on the rise

    • 101 serological tests performed per 1,000 inhabitants (source: LaboVIH) in 2024.

    • Rates are rising in Brittany as well as in mainland France outside the Île-de-France region; the gap with the national average remains.

    • 123 (95% CI: 107–139) estimated new cases in 2024, representing a rate of 36 new HIV diagnoses per million inhabitants based on laboratory data (compared to 38 in 2023).

Surveillance of HIV testing activity, coordinated by Santé publique France, in laboratories (LaboVIH) is based on data collected from all laboratories—both community-based and hospital-based—regarding the number of people tested for HIV and the number of people confirmed positive for the first time by the laboratory via www.e-do.fr.
