Key Points

Asthma and ENT conditions: The number of SOS Médecins consultations for asthma is higher than in previous years during the same period. Hospital emergency department activity is within seasonal averages.Hospital emergency departments and SOS Médecins continue to see high activity for ENT conditions, despite a decrease in the number of visits. Viral circulation of rhinovirus/enterovirus: 21% (11/52 and 8/38) of respiratory samples tested positive at the virology laboratories of the Brest and Rennes University Hospitals.

Influenza and influenza-like illness: Decrease in consultations at SOS Médecins among 15- to 74-year-olds compared to the previous week. Low activity across all age groups in both hospital and community emergency departments, within seasonal averages. Circulation of type A virus decreasing at the Brest University Hospital (12% positivity rate out of 34 samples). No positive samples at the Rennes University Hospital.
