Asthma and ENT Conditions: Sharp increases in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations for asthma and ENT conditions among children under 15 following the end of school break. Declining viral circulation of rhinovirus/enterovirus: 20% of respiratory samples tested positive (13/66) at the Virology Laboratory of the Brest University Hospital.
Bronchiolitis (children under 2 years old)Low use of hospital emergency departments, within seasonal averages. First sharp increase in SOS Médecins consultations, exceeding previous years’ figures.No positive samples at the Brest University Hospital since the start of the season.
Influenza and influenza-like illness: Activity remains low across all age groups in both hospital and community emergency departments. Circulation of influenza A virus at the Brest University Hospital: positivity rate of 11% (out of 71 samples tested).
