Key Points

Gastroenteritis: Epidemic activity. Continued increase in visits to hospital emergency departments (+10%), particularly affecting children under 5 years of age (+21%); this age group accounts for 78% of hospitalizations.Moderate activity in primary care: incidence rate of acute diarrhea estimated at 119 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [49, 189], unconsolidated Sentinelles data).Circulation of rotavirus, identified in enteric specimens analyzed at the Virology Laboratory of the Brest University Hospital, and circulation of rotavirus, norovirus, and adenovirus identified in enteric specimens analyzed at the Virology Laboratory of the Rennes University Hospital.

Asthma: Increased use of community emergency departments (+104%) and hospital emergency departments (+42%). These increases affect all age groups except those aged 75 and older. Activity levels above seasonal averages in both sources.
