Since January 13, 2014, a measles outbreak has occurred at a school in Rennes, where an epidemiological investigation revealed that 40% of the children had not been vaccinated against the disease. No cases of measles have been reported among vaccinated children. To date, there have been 54 cases, including 38 within this school and 16 secondary cases outside the school.We recommend that you be sure to report any cases to the ARS Bretagne Regional Health Surveillance and Emergency Platform at the following phone number: 09 74 50 00 09, and offer measles vaccination with two doses of the vaccine.
