Enterovirus Meningitis
A marked decrease in emergency department visits for enterovirus meningitis (7 cases in week 30 compared to 18 cases in weeks 28 and 29). A decrease in the viral circulation of enteroviruses identified in cerebrospinal fluid samples analyzed at the Virology Laboratories of the Brest University Hospital and the Rennes University Hospital.The national update on enterovirus infections was updated on July 25.
Heat-related illnesses
No heat-related weather alerts, and activity within seasonal averages for all sources. Météo-France does not forecast a heat wave in the region over the next 5 days. Regional and national reports on the heat wave observed from June 17 to 25 are available on the Santé publique France website.Furthermore, although remaining at a high level, there has been a decrease in calls to SOS Médecins and visits to hospital emergency rooms for insect bites. (Data not shown). Barring exceptional circumstances, the next epidemiological update will be released on August 16, 2017.
