Key points

Bronchiolitis (under 1 year of age)

  • Activity outside of an epidemic. Decrease in hospital emergency room visits and stability in SOS Médecins consultations. Virology laboratories at the region’s university hospitals report low detection of RSV. Other viruses capable of causing bronchiolitis are circulating, notably rhinoviruses.

COVID-19

  • Low activity.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

  • Non-epidemic activity. Decrease in the number of emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations for influenza and influenza-like illness across all age groups. Slight increase in the detection of influenza A virus according to data from the Virology Laboratory at the Rennes University Hospital and a decrease in detection according to the Virology Laboratory at the Brest University Hospital.

Gastroenteritis

  • High activity. Increase in emergency room visits and decrease in SOS Médecins consultations across all age groups.

Pneumonias

  • Slight increase in emergency room visits and decrease in SOS Médecins consultations for pneumonia.

Asthma

  • Moderate activity. Decrease in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations, all ages.
