Key Points

COVID-19

  • Low activity.

  • In week 22, the incidence rate and positivity rate remained stable at low levels, against a backdrop of very low testing rates.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity. Increase in emergency room visits and stabilization of SOS Médecins consultations across all age groups.

Asthma

  • Increase in emergency department visits and SOS Médecins consultations, primarily among those aged 5–14 and 15–74 in week 22. Activity levels in emergency departments are close to seasonal averages. The SOS Médecins indicators being tracked are slightly higher than in previous years.

ENT Conditions

  • Stabilization of ENT conditions in hospital emergency departments and a slight increase in SOS Médecins consultations. Increase in the detection of rhinoviruses/enteroviruses by the Virology Laboratory at Brest University Hospital (15/50, positivity rate of 30%). A decrease in detection rates at the Virology Laboratory of the Rennes University Hospital (6/39, 15% positivity rate).
