Sporadic detection of confirmed cases
As of June 24, 2020, 2,938 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been biologically diagnosed in the region since the start of the epidemic.
Virology: Very low positivity rate. More than 5,900 tests were performed in week 25 in the region.
SI-VIC: The majority of hospitalizations occurred in Ille-et-Vilaine. The majority of deaths occurred in Morbihan (35%) and Ille-et-Vilaine (33%).
ESMS: From March 1, 2020, through June 25, 374 facilities reported an outbreak, including 107 confirmed by one or more confirmed cases—residents or staff members—linked to COVID-19 in Brittany. These included 238 (64%) nursing homes for the elderly (EHPAD) and 136 (36%) other medical-social facilities (EMS). The 374 reports corresponded to a total of 1,887 cases of COVID-19 (367 confirmed cases and 1,520 possible cases) among residents, of whom 238 were hospitalized. Among these possible and confirmed cases, 89 died in the facilities and 59 died in the hospital out of the total 374 reports; in the 107 facilities with a confirmed case, there were 71 deaths in the facility and 52 deaths in the hospital, respectively.
