COVID-19

The epidemic continues to slow down. Decrease in the incidence rate and positivity rate calculated from PCR and antigen tests. The incidence rate has dropped from 53.4 per 100,000 residents in Week 22 to 33.3 per 100,000 residents in Week 23. The positivity rate has dropped from 2.1% in Week 22 to 1.5% in Week 23. These indicators are declining across all age groups and departments. The proportion of suspected Alpha variant cases remains the majority, but the first cases with a mutation specific to the Delta variant (known as the Indian variant) are now being observed in the region. Vaccination coverage stands at 50.9% for a single dose and 27.1% for a full course.

Heat-related illnesses

The Brittany region has been on green alert since monitoring began. In Brittany, a slight decrease in emergency room indicators has been observed compared to last week.
