COVID-19

  • Low activity.

  • In Week 16, the incidence rate (IR) remained stable. The positivity rate (PR) rose slightly amid a low and declining testing rate (TR).

  • Oscour®: slight increase in the number of emergency department visits in Week 16 (86 visits compared to 72 in Week 15); 57% of these visits resulted in hospitalization (compared to 50% in Week 15). Suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 0.6% of emergency department activity across all age groups (compared to 0.5% in S15).

  • SOS Médecins: slight increase in the number of SOS Médecins consultations (51 consultations in S16 compared to 42 in S15). Across all age groups, suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 1.4% of SOS Médecins activity in S16 (compared to 1% in S15).

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • Non-epidemic activity.

  • Continued decline in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations. Decrease in the circulation of influenza B virus according to the virology laboratories at the Rennes and Brest University Hospitals.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity.

  • Slight decrease in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations across all age groups.
